This video poker game called ‘Ultimate X Poker ’ is IGT’s (International Gaming Technology) is a completely new type of poker game that offers the potential for mor action than any other multi-hand video poker game. Te Ultimate X feature is a buy-a-pay wager that qualifies players for bonus multipliers from 2 times to 12 times a normal winning hand. A bonus multiplier is awarded to each active hand ending in a winning combination. The value of the multiplier is determined by the pay schedule and is applied to any wins received in that hand in the next game.
Here is how the game is played:
The slot player selects his initial wager and the number of hands to play. The possible wagers are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 5+ side bet of 5 credits per hand. If the slot player chooses to wager more than 1 credit per hand, then all hands must be played.
Each hand in play may or may not have had a multiplier associated with it. Multipliers are assigned to a particular hand based on the results of the previous hand. The default multiplier is 1 times. If the side bet wasn’t wagered in the previous hand, the multiplier is reset to one.
Five cards are drawn from a standard 52-card deck. The slot player selects which cards to hold, if any. The cards that the slot player chooses not to hold are then discarded, and replaced with cards from the remaining 47 card deck. This final 5 card hand is then evaluated against the paytable for that game. If any particular hand is a winner, and there is a multiplier associated with that particular hand, then that win is multiplied by the value of the multiplier.
If the slot player placed the side bet, then for every winning hand, a multiplier is associated with that winning hand based on the rank of the win. The multiplier multiplies the win for the next hand only. See paytable for the multiplier values for the corresponding ranks by game type. If a particular hand is not a winner, any multiplier associated with that hand is reset to one.
If a winning hand already has a multiplier associated with it, the rank of the current hand solely determines the multiplier for the next hand.
If the slot player chooses not to place the side bet, but has at least one multiplier associated with at least one hand from the previous game, all wins on those hand are multiplied by the multiplier; at the end of the hand all multipliers are reset to one.
