A Brief Description of the Game

Eat you way to riches in this IGT’s video slot machine called “Buffet Mania.” This video slot has five video reels with 20 paylines. Some of the symbols are; Buffet Mania Logo symbol, ma, pop, junior, burger and fries, chicken and corn, sausage, mustard, cracker catchup, chef, and a Sergeant. The top award is when 5 Buffet Mania logos appear on a paid payline for 50,000 to one million credits depending on the maximum number of credits played per payline. There are 2 bonuses in this game called Chef Nut Bar Bonus and the Crash Diet Bonus.

The Chef Nut Bar Bonus is initiated when 3 Chef Nut Bar symbols land on a played payline on reels one two and three. The screen changes where there are fifteen dishes are displayed and the slot player selects from the video screen from three categories; main dinner meal, a side item, and a dessert dish. Each item has an associated prize (credits) or a multiplier. The slot player selects up to four possible dish levels, the higher the level the greater the prize values. The items from each round are selected one at a time and placed into the corresponding category until one of the categories has four items or until all 15 items have been selected. If all 15 items are selected from a round and none of the categories contain 4 items, 15 more items are displayed to start the next round. With each selection, an additional item may be awarded. An additional item will only be placed in a category such that the additional item is not the fourth item in a category. When at least one item has been placed in each of the three categories, the item on the bottom of each of the categories is removed. The sum of the values of the three items or the sum of the values of two items times the multiplier is added to the bonus meter. The bonus ends on any round when a category contains four items or when all items have been selected from all four rounds. When the bonus ends, a consolation prize for each remaining item in the three categories is added to the bonus meter and the total on the bonus meter is awarded. The second bonus is the Crash Diet bonus and this is initiated when three or more sergeant symbols land in any position on a paid payline. One of three characters is selected and a number of free spins are awarded. The free spins multiplier starts at one and increases by one for each free spin played. The free spins are played automatically at the same number of lines and bet per line as the initiating game. The credits that are won are awarded from the bonus paytable and multiplied by the current spin multiplier. During the free spins, if three or more scattered sergeant symbols are again shown on any paid payline, an additional number of free spins equal to the original number of free spins up to a total of 50 free spins. When all of the awarded free spins have been played the bonus is over.
